Former Vice President and Senator Joe Biden is a candidate in the 2020 Presidential election. He announced his candidacy on April 25, 2019.

Biden is best known for his role as a U.S. senator for Delaware and as the vice president to Barack Obama. During his tenure in the Senate from 1973-2009, Biden served as chairman and ranking minority member of both the Committee on the Judiciary, and the Committee on Foreign Relations. In 2008, Biden was elected as vice president. Since leaving office in 2017, he has served as a professor at the University of Pennsylvania.
