About the Secular Coalition for America
The Secular Coalition is a group of diverse organizations representing atheists, agnostics, humanists, and other nonreligious Americans. The Secular Coalition for America is a dedicated lobbying organization within the Coalition, whose mission is to advocate for the equal rights of nonreligious Americans and defend the separation of religion and government.

The Secular Coalition for America is a 501(c)(4) nonprofit advocacy organization dedicated to amplifying the diverse and growing voice of the nontheistic community in the United States. Our 21 voting member organizations are established 501(c)(3) nonprofits who serve atheists, agnostics, humanists, freethinkers and other nontheistic Americans.
Since our founding in 2002, the goal of the Secular Coalition has been to provide nontheistic Americans a unified voice in Washington. Today, we continue this mission by facilitating cooperation and strategic coordination between our 21 member organizations. Additionally, our member organizations provide valuable input on our Model Secular Policy Guide as well as our Legislative and Executive Branch Agenda (LEBA).
