The Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers builds community for atheists and humanists in the military and fights discrimination against nontheists in the military. Established as a 501c3 charitable organization in 2006, MAAF supports atheists in foxholes, and veterans, with community, advocacy, and education of the general public. They advocate for military chaplaincy reform, chaplaincy employment opportunity, discrimination protection (militaryatheists).
