President Trump and his administration have been consistently restrictive toward LGBTQ rights.
His actions range from making comments at a number of events indicating his support for “traditional marriage,” the complete removal of all mentions of LGBTQ issues from White House, Department of State, and Department of Labor websites immediately following his inauguration, and actual political action to limit protections from discrimination for LGBTQ individuals.
A timeline of his actions can be found on the GLAAD website, and include removing Title IX protections for transgender students, cutting funding to programs critical to the LGBTQ community, and banning transgender individuals from serving in the U.S. Military.
