The Secular Coalition for America (SCA), along with its 20 coalition partners, has submitted a letter to Senators John Thune and Charles Schumer, urging them to reject Pete Hegseth’s nomination as Secretary of Defense. Based on his strong authoritarian tendencies, Christian nationalist views, and significant lack of relevant experience, the SCA asserts that Hegseth is unfit for the role.
