On February 15, 2018, Senator Klobuchar introduced Senate Resolution 165, also titled the Flu Vaccine Act. The act would encourage further research by the National Institutes of Health to develop a more effective flu vaccine. On the occasion, she stated:
“The Flu Vaccine Act will support critical research at the National Institutes of Health to finally develop a universal vaccine so Minnesotans and all Americans can be better protected from all variations of the flu.”
