The Secular Coalition for America held its first-ever Biennial Strategic Summit in Washington, D.C. May 19 - 21, 2011. More than 100 secular and nontheistic leaders met to discuss strategies and lobby Congressional offices on Capitol Hill with the goal of increasing the respect for and visibility of secular Americans in public life.
