Eliza Kashinsky, Chief of Staff
Eliza Kashinsky joined the Secular Coalition as Chief of Staff in the spring of 2011. Eliza provides day-to-day management of SCA’s staff and office operations in Washington, D.C. Prior to joining the Secular Coalition, Eliza spent six years at Freedom House, an international nonprofit that promotes democracy and human rights worldwide, where she rose through the ranks to serve as Senior Operations Manager.
Amanda Knief, Government Relations Manager
Amanda Knief brings to the Secular Coalition a combination of legislative legal experience and grassroots advocacy. Amanda worked as Legal Counsel for the nonpartisan Legislative Services Agency in the Iowa Legislature. She is also cofounder of Iowa Atheists & Freethinkers. Amanda has a Bachelor of Science degree in mass communication and journalism from Iowa State University and a law degree from Drake University. She is an avid rock climber and bibliophile.
Lauren Anderson Youngblood, Communications Manager
Lauren Anderson Youngblood joined the Secular Coalition in 2011, bringing with her several years experience in journalism, marketing writing and web editing. A New York native, Lauren studied Journalism and Political Science at Howard University, and Middle Eastern history at Tel Aviv University in Israel. As a journalist her work has appeared in various publications including the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and Congressional Quarterly. Most recently, Lauren served as the lead editor for Fastweb and MonsterCollege.com, and in her spare time directed communications and public relations for several non-profit civic organizations. Lauren considers herself somewhat of a globetrotter and enjoys party planning and cake decorating.
Nick Fish, Development Manager
Nick Fish joined the Secular Coalition as Development Manager in the summer of 2011. A Michigan native, Nick studied Political Science at Albion College before managing field operations for voter registration and get-out-the-vote projects in Raleigh, North Carolina during the 2008 election season. For the last three years, Nick has managed direct marketing campaigns for some of the nation's most prominent progressive non-profits and political groups with a focus on building grassroots support. Nick is a supporter of new and independent music and is an Eagle Scout.
Nathan Cox, Administrative Associate
Nathan Cox is the administrative associate for the Secular Coalition for America. He joined the organization in 2011.
Sean Faircloth, Former Executive Director
Sean Faircloth was Executive Director of the Secular Coalition for America from 2009 to 2011 Executive Director in June of 2009. Lori Lipman Brown, Founding Director Emeritus
Lori Lipman Brown is a lawyer, an educator, and a former Nevada State Senator. From 2005-2009 she served as the first director of the Secular Coalition for America.
